Chartsy is a hosted, read-only MCP server you add to Grok as a custom connector, so Grok can read your MRR, churn and refunds from Stripe, Paddle, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Creem or Freemius, plus your site traffic and the channels that bring paying customers. Last updated October 2026.
Which of my X posts last month brought paying customers?
Two posts did almost all the work.
Add it once at grok.com/connectors. No API key to copy, nothing to install.
Chartsy and paste the server URL belowhttps://mcp.chartsy.app/mcp
Custom connectors are on Grok's paid plans. On Grok Business and Enterprise, an admin provisions the connector in the xAI cloud console before members can use it.
Grok uses the connector by itself when a question is about your numbers. Saying "from Chartsy" makes it certain.
How did yesterday go, from Chartsy?
A normal day.
Want the numbers in your editor instead? See Chartsy + Cursor or Chartsy + Claude Code.
All three read the same Chartsy numbers. They differ in where they run and how you add the server.
| Surface | Where it runs | How you connect | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
Grok appThis page | grok.com and the Grok apps | Custom connector at grok.com/connectors | Questions in the moment: which post worked, why MRR moved, what to post next |
Grok Bot | In the cloud, around the clock | Tell the Bot: Add this MCP server: https://mcp.chartsy.app/mcp | Routines, such as yesterday's numbers every morning |
Grok Build | Your terminal, as a coding agent | grok mcp add --transport http, then sign in | Building pricing pages, dashboards and reports with real numbers |
Founders who post on X tend to ask about channels first. Grok picks the tools, so the calls can vary.

A Grok Bot runs in the cloud, so it can check Chartsy for you on a schedule. Add the server once, then give it a routine.
> Add this MCP server: https://mcp.chartsy.app/mcp Bot: Added Chartsy. Sign in to finish. > Every morning at 8, send me yesterday's numbers from Chartsy. Only flag what's unusual. Bot: Done. First report tomorrow at 8:00. # Sample conversation
Signups only tell you half the story. Grok can now follow each channel into your billing data, so you see which ones bring customers who pay and stay.
Needs the Chartsy tracking script on your site and a connected payment provider. Groups under 5 paying customers are flagged as inconclusive, and retention needs about 90 days to mean much.
Which channels brought paying customers last quarter, and what are they worth now?
Search brings the most money; the newsletter converts best.
The Chartsy growth-loop skill teaches Grok a weekly routine: check which channels and posts brought paying customers, recommend where to focus, and draft next week's posts with tracked links for you to review. Connect Postiz or Publer too and the drafts are saved there, never published. Chartsy stays read-only.
grok mcp add --transport http chartsy https://mcp.chartsy.app/mcpGrok Build loads skills from ~/.grok/skills and ~/.claude/skills. The skill works in Grok Build only, not in the Grok app or Bots.

The same numbers as your Chartsy dashboard. Grok picks the tool; you just ask.

Names, emails and write access stay in Chartsy.
Grok can read your numbers. It can't change Chartsy, your payment provider's data, or your customers.
Customers are payment-processor IDs; names and emails stay in Chartsy. Grok sees only the accounts and sites your login owns, checked on every call.
Each call uses one ChartsyAI question from your monthly allowance, failed calls included. Broad questions usually take one call.
Most problems are the sign-in or a workspace setting.
Custom connectors are on Grok's paid plans. On Grok Business and Enterprise, an admin has to provision the connector in the xAI cloud console first; until then the option does nothing.
Add "from Chartsy" to the question, and check the connector shows as connected at grok.com/connectors. If it says it needs attention, sign in again.
Bots manage their own servers. Ask the Bot "Add this MCP server: https://mcp.chartsy.app/mcp", confirm, and sign in. New tools appear from the next message.
Run grok mcp doctor chartsy. The first call opens a browser to sign in with your Chartsy login; if no browser can open, run Grok Build on a machine that has one.
Connect Stripe, Paddle, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Creem or Freemius in Chartsy and let the first sync finish. The demo data added at signup doesn't count.
Each tool call uses one ChartsyAI question, failed calls included. When the monthly allowance is used up, calls stop until it resets on the 1st, or until you upgrade your Chartsy plan.
Short answers for founders connecting Grok.
Open grok.com/connectors, click New Connector, choose Custom, name it Chartsy and enter https://mcp.chartsy.app/mcp. Sign in with your Chartsy login and approve access. There's nothing to install and no API key to copy.
Yes, if your links carry UTM tags. Put the post in utm_content and Grok can group paying customers and their MRR by post with the get_revenue_by_source tool. Untagged clicks from X are still counted under the X source.
Yes. A Grok Bot adds the server when you ask it to in chat. In Grok Build, run grok mcp add --transport http chartsy https://mcp.chartsy.app/mcp and sign in when the browser opens.
Connecting costs nothing extra. It works on any Chartsy plan, including the free trial; custom connectors need a paid Grok plan. Each tool call uses one ChartsyAI question from your Chartsy plan's monthly allowance.
Grok reads whatever you have connected to Chartsy: Stripe, Paddle, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Creem, Freemius or a custom source through the Chartsy API.
No. All 19 Chartsy tools are read-only. Grok can't change Chartsy, your payment provider's data or your customers, and Chartsy can't post to X.
One per tool call, failed calls included. "How did yesterday go?" is usually one call; a broad business review is usually one get_business_snapshot call. A daily Bot routine is about 30 questions a month.
Remove the connector at grok.com/connectors, and ask any Bot to remove the Chartsy server. To cut access everywhere at once, revoke it in Chartsy under Settings → Claude & MCP.
Yes. The get_revenue_by_source tool follows the people who signed up from each source, medium, UTM campaign or post into your billing data, and returns how many became paying customers, what they're worth in MRR today, how many churned and the retention rate. You can choose first touch (where they first found you) or last touch (what made them sign up). It needs the Chartsy tracking script on your site and a connected payment provider. Groups with fewer than 5 paying customers are flagged as too small to call.
Same server, same numbers. Or see all AI agents and the MCP server reference.
Add the connector, tag your links, and ask Grok which posts brought customers.
