Chartsy for Claude Code is a plugin that adds the hosted, read-only Chartsy MCP server and the Chartsy skill, so Claude Code can read your MRR, churn, refunds and site traffic from Stripe, Paddle, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Creem or Freemius. Last updated October 2026.
How did yesterday go?
A normal Monday, one thing to watch.
Two commands, then sign in once. Nothing runs locally: the server is hosted.
The plugin brings the Chartsy MCP server and the Chartsy skill.
/mcp and pick chartsy/plugin marketplace add sprifti/chartsy-agent /plugin install chartsy@chartsy
Just the server, without the skill: claude mcp add --transport http -s user chartsy https://mcp.chartsy.app/mcp, then /mcp to sign in.
Ask from any project, in any session. Claude Code picks the tool.
Did my pricing change last week move signups?
Signups rose, paid conversions held.
More detail: Connect Chartsy to Claude and Claude Code.
All three read the same numbers. They differ in sign-in and in how well Claude Code picks tools.
| Surface | Command | Sign-in | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
PluginThis page | /plugin install chartsy@chartsy | Chartsy login, once via /mcp | Most people: the skill keeps answers to one call where it can |
Server only | claude mcp add … chartsy | Chartsy login, once via /mcp | If you manage MCP servers yourself and don't want the skill |
Personal token | --header "Authorization: Bearer …" | None: a token from Chartsy → Settings → Claude & MCP | Scripts, CI and headless runs with no browser to approve |
Questions from people who build their SaaS in the terminal. Claude Code picks the tools, so the calls can vary.

The plugin adds a skill that teaches Claude Code how to use Chartsy well, so it spends fewer of your questions.
Rule 1: Every tool call uses up one of the
user's ChartsyAI questions.
- Broad question ("how's the business")
→ one get_business_snapshot call
- "What happened yesterday?"
→ one get_daily_snapshot call
- Don't call a tool again for data you
already have in this conversation.Signups only tell you half the story. Claude Code can now follow each channel into your billing data, so you see which ones bring customers who pay and stay.
Needs the Chartsy tracking script on your site and a connected payment provider. Groups under 5 paying customers are flagged as inconclusive, and retention needs about 90 days to mean much.
Which channels brought paying customers last quarter, and what are they worth now?
Search brings the most money; the newsletter converts best.
The Chartsy growth-loop skill teaches Claude Code a weekly routine: check which channels and posts brought paying customers, recommend where to focus, and draft next week's posts with tracked links for you to review. Connect Postiz or Publer too and the drafts are saved there, never published. Chartsy stays read-only.
> Plan next week's posts based on what brought paying customers. get_revenue_by_source · by=campaign Comparison posts brought 5 of 9 new paying customers. Three drafts below, each with a UTM link so next week is measurable. # Sample answer for a made-up business
The same numbers as your Chartsy dashboard. In Claude Code they show up as mcp__chartsy__ tools.

Customer names, emails and write access don't.
Claude Code can read your numbers. It can't change Chartsy, your payment provider's data, or your customers.
Customers are payment-processor IDs; names and emails stay in Chartsy. Claude Code sees only the accounts and sites your login owns, checked on every call.
Each call uses one ChartsyAI question from your monthly allowance, failed calls included. Broad questions usually take one call.
Run /mcp first: it shows whether chartsy is connected.
Select chartsy in /mcp and sign in to Chartsy in the browser window that opens. With a personal token, check it hasn't expired or been revoked under Chartsy → Settings → Claude & MCP.
Check that chartsy is listed and connected in /mcp. If you added the server with claude mcp add in another project, use -s user so it's available in every project.
Non-interactive runs can't open a browser, so add the server with a personal token header, and allow the tools you need, for example --allowedTools "mcp__chartsy__get_daily_snapshot".
Connect Stripe, Paddle, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Creem or Freemius in Chartsy and let the first sync finish. The demo data added at signup doesn't count.
Each tool call uses one ChartsyAI question, failed calls included. When your monthly allowance is used up, calls stop until it resets on the 1st, or until you upgrade your Chartsy plan.
Short answers for people who live in the terminal.
Run /plugin marketplace add sprifti/chartsy-agent and /plugin install chartsy@chartsy inside Claude Code, then /mcp to sign in to Chartsy. That installs the hosted Chartsy MCP server and the Chartsy skill.
Both connect the same read-only server. The plugin also installs the Chartsy skill, which teaches Claude Code which tool answers which question and to use one call where it can, so it uses fewer ChartsyAI questions. claude mcp add gives you only the server: claude mcp add --transport http -s user chartsy https://mcp.chartsy.app/mcp.
Yes. Generate a personal token in Chartsy under Settings → Claude & MCP (it lasts a year and can be revoked), store it as a secret, and add the server with --header "Authorization: Bearer <token>". Then run claude -p with --allowedTools for the Chartsy tools you need. Each run uses one ChartsyAI question per tool call.
One per tool call, failed calls included. "How did yesterday go?" is one get_daily_snapshot call and a full review is one get_business_snapshot call. The Chartsy skill keeps Claude Code to those one-call answers where it can.
The plugin is free. It works on any Chartsy plan, including the free trial, and each tool call uses one ChartsyAI question from your plan's monthly allowance.
Claude Code reads whatever you have connected to Chartsy: Stripe, Paddle, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Creem, Freemius or a custom source through the Chartsy API.
No. All 19 Chartsy tools are read-only. Claude Code can't change Chartsy, your payment provider's data, or your customers, even with permissions set to auto-accept.
No. Customers come back as payment-processor IDs only, such as a Stripe or Paddle customer ID. Names and emails stay in Chartsy.
Run claude plugin uninstall chartsy@chartsy, or claude mcp remove chartsy -s user if you added the server only. To cut access everywhere, revoke it in Chartsy under Settings → Claude & MCP.
Yes. The get_revenue_by_source tool follows the people who signed up from each source, medium, UTM campaign or post into your billing data, and returns how many became paying customers, what they're worth in MRR today, how many churned and the retention rate. You can choose first touch (where they first found you) or last touch (what made them sign up). It needs the Chartsy tracking script on your site and a connected payment provider. Groups with fewer than 5 paying customers are flagged as too small to call.
Same server, same numbers. Or see all AI agents and the MCP server reference.
Install the plugin, sign in once, and keep your numbers next to your code.
