Windsurf is now called Devin Desktop
Chartsy is a hosted, read-only MCP server that gives Windsurf (renamed Devin Desktop in June 2026) your MRR, churn, refunds and site traffic from Stripe, Paddle, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Creem or Freemius. One config file covers Devin Local and Cascade. Last updated October 2026.
How much MRR is still on the legacy Starter plan? I want to remove it from the code.
Not yet: Starter still pays.
Add the server to one config file, sign in once, then ask. Nothing to install: the server is hosted.

}On Windows the file is %APPDATA%\devin\mcp_config.json. Older Windsurf builds use ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json with serverUrl instead of url; Devin Local still reads it.

Same server and the same numbers. Devin Local and Cascade share one config file; the CLI can write it for you.
| Surface | Config | Sign-in | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
Devin LocalThis page | mcp_config.json in ~/.config/devin | Chartsy login, asked on first use | The default agent for new tabs |
Cascade | The same file, via ⋯ → Open MCP config file | Chartsy login | Older Cascade conversations |
Devin CLI | devin mcp add -s user chartsy with the URL | Opens the Chartsy sign-in right away | The terminal, and JetBrains or Zed over ACP |
Questions developers ask before they change code that touches revenue. Devin picks the tools, so the calls can vary.

Devin Local asks before every MCP tool call. Every Chartsy tool only reads, so you can allow them once in your user config.

}Signups only tell you half the story. Windsurf can now follow each channel into your billing data, so you see which ones bring customers who pay and stay.
Needs the Chartsy tracking script on your site and a connected payment provider. Groups under 5 paying customers are flagged as inconclusive, and retention needs about 90 days to mean much.

Search brings the most money; the newsletter converts best.
The same numbers as your Chartsy dashboard. To hide a tool from Cascade, list it in disabledTools in mcp_config.json.

Names, emails and write access never do.
Windsurf can read your numbers. It can't change Chartsy, your payment provider's data, or your customers.
Customers are payment-processor IDs; names and emails stay in Chartsy. Windsurf sees only the accounts and sites your login owns, checked on every call.
Each call uses one ChartsyAI question from your monthly allowance, failed calls included. Broad questions usually take one call.
Most problems are the config file, sign-in or a team setting.
Check that the entry is in ~/.config/devin/mcp_config.json and uses "url". If you only have the older ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json, move the entry over. Agents are also off while a workspace is in Restricted Mode.
The sign-in expired or was revoked. With Devin CLI, run devin mcp logout chartsy, then devin mcp login chartsy. In Devin Desktop, start a new conversation and sign in when asked.
On Enterprise plans an admin has to turn MCP on, and a team allowlist blocks any server that isn't on it. Ask your admin to allow the server ID chartsy.
Connect Stripe, Paddle, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Creem or Freemius in Chartsy and let the first sync finish. The demo data added at signup doesn't count.
Each tool call uses one ChartsyAI question, failed calls included. When your monthly allowance is used up, calls stop until it resets on the 1st, or until you upgrade your Chartsy plan.
Short answers for Windsurf and Devin Desktop users.
Add a server named chartsy with "url": "https://mcp.chartsy.app/mcp" under mcpServers in ~/.config/devin/mcp_config.json, save, and sign in to Chartsy when Devin asks. With Devin CLI, run devin mcp add -s user chartsy https://mcp.chartsy.app/mcp instead.
Yes. Cognition renamed Windsurf to Devin Desktop on June 2, 2026. It is the same editor; new tabs use the Devin Local agent, and Cascade stays available as the legacy agent. Chartsy works with both.
No. Devin signs in to Chartsy with OAuth: approve once in the browser. A personal token from Chartsy → Settings → Claude & MCP is only for machines where that sign-in isn't possible; put it in a headers entry in a gitignored file, never in a committed one.
Yes. Commit .devin/mcp_config.json with just the server URL. Each teammate signs in with their own Chartsy login and sees only the accounts they have access to.
One per tool call, failed calls included. Most questions take one or two calls; "what happened yesterday?" is a single get_daily_snapshot call.
Connecting costs nothing extra. It works on any Chartsy plan, including the free trial, and each tool call uses one ChartsyAI question from your plan's monthly allowance.
Devin reads whatever you have connected to Chartsy: Stripe, Paddle, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Creem, Freemius or a custom source through the Chartsy API.
No. All 19 Chartsy tools are read-only. Devin can't change Chartsy, your payment provider's data, or your customers.
Delete the chartsy entry from mcp_config.json, or run devin mcp remove chartsy. To cut access everywhere, revoke it in Chartsy under Settings → Claude & MCP.
Yes. The get_revenue_by_source tool follows the people who signed up from each source, medium, UTM campaign or post into your billing data, and returns how many became paying customers, what they're worth in MRR today, how many churned and the retention rate. You can choose first touch (where they first found you) or last touch (what made them sign up). It needs the Chartsy tracking script on your site and a connected payment provider. Groups with fewer than 5 paying customers are flagged as too small to call.
Same server, same numbers. Or see all AI agents and the MCP server reference.
Connect your payment provider to Chartsy, add the server in Windsurf, and ask Devin Local.
