Chartsy is a hosted, read-only MCP server you add to Perplexity as a custom connector, so answers can combine web research with your MRR, churn and refunds from Stripe, Paddle, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Creem or Freemius, plus your site traffic and paying channels. Last updated October 2026.
Is my churn good for a B2B SaaS at my price point?
Your churn, next to what others publish.
One custom connector, signed in with your Chartsy login. No API key to copy.
Chartsy and paste the server URL belowhttps://mcp.chartsy.app/mcp
No Plugins item in the sidebar? Use Customize → Connectors. On Enterprise, an admin may need to allow member connectors under Enterprise settings → Connectors → Connector permissions.
How does my trial-to-paid rate compare with typical SaaS numbers?
Your rate first, then the comparison.
Want your numbers without web research mixed in? See Chartsy + Claude.
You add the connector once on your account. What changes is how much work you hand over.
| Surface | What it does | Connector | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
PerplexityThis page | Answers with cited sources, in a thread | Turn Chartsy on under Sources | Benchmarks, pricing research and quick questions about your numbers |
Perplexity Computer | Runs longer, multi-step tasks | Uses the connectors on your account | Reports that mix research with your data, such as a competitor and pricing review |
Enterprise | Shared workspace | Admin allows member connectors, or adds one for everyone | Teams that want one Chartsy connector for the whole organisation |
Perplexity is at its best when a question needs both the web and your own numbers. It picks the tools, so the calls can vary.

Signups only tell you half the story. Perplexity can now follow each channel into your billing data, so you see which ones bring customers who pay and stay.
Needs the Chartsy tracking script on your site and a connected payment provider. Groups under 5 paying customers are flagged as inconclusive, and retention needs about 90 days to mean much.
Which channels brought paying customers last quarter, and what are they worth now?
Search brings the most money; the newsletter converts best.
The same numbers as your Chartsy dashboard. Perplexity combines them with web results when the question calls for it.

Names, emails and write access stay in Chartsy.
Perplexity can read your numbers. It can't change Chartsy, your payment provider's data, or your customers.
Customers are payment-processor IDs; names and emails stay in Chartsy. Perplexity sees only the accounts and sites your login owns, checked on every call.
Each call uses one ChartsyAI question from your monthly allowance, failed calls included. Broad questions usually take one call.
Most fixes are a toggle or a sign-in.
Chartsy is off for that thread. Turn it on under Sources on the home page before you ask, and mention Chartsy in the question.
Open Plugins in the sidebar, or Customize → Connectors if you don't see Plugins yet, then Add custom → Connector → Add MCP connector. Custom connectors need a paid Perplexity plan. On Enterprise, an admin must allow member connectors under Enterprise settings → Connectors.
Check Authentication is OAuth 2.0, Transport is Streamable HTTP and the Client ID and Secret fields are empty, then click the Chartsy card to sign in again. Allow pop-ups for perplexity.ai.
Connect Stripe, Paddle, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Creem or Freemius in Chartsy and let the first sync finish. The demo data added at signup doesn't count.
Each tool call uses one ChartsyAI question, failed calls included. When the monthly allowance is used up, calls stop until it resets on the 1st, or until you upgrade your Chartsy plan.
Short answers before you connect.
Open Plugins (or Customize → Connectors), choose Add custom → Connector → Add MCP connector → Remote, name it Chartsy and enter https://mcp.chartsy.app/mcp. Set Authentication to OAuth 2.0 and Transport to Streamable HTTP, click Add, then click the Chartsy card and sign in with your Chartsy login.
No. Perplexity reads your numbers from Chartsy and searches the web separately. Your figures aren't published anywhere, and customers appear only as payment-processor IDs.
Connectors are set up on your Perplexity account, and Computer works with your account's connectors. If Chartsy doesn't appear in a Computer task, use it from a regular thread instead.
Connecting costs nothing extra on the Chartsy side, and it works on any Chartsy plan, including the free trial. Custom connectors need a paid Perplexity plan. Each tool call uses one ChartsyAI question from your Chartsy allowance.
Perplexity reads whatever you have connected to Chartsy: Stripe, Paddle, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Creem, Freemius or a custom source through the Chartsy API.
No. All 19 Chartsy tools are read-only. Perplexity can't change Chartsy, your payment provider's data or your customers.
One per tool call, failed calls included. A benchmark question usually takes one or two calls; a full business review is usually one get_business_snapshot call. Web searches don't count.
Remove the Chartsy connector in Plugins or Customize → Connectors. You can also revoke access in Chartsy under Settings → Claude & MCP, which stops it immediately.
Yes. The get_revenue_by_source tool follows the people who signed up from each source, medium, UTM campaign or post into your billing data, and returns how many became paying customers, what they're worth in MRR today, how many churned and the retention rate. You can choose first touch (where they first found you) or last touch (what made them sign up). It needs the Chartsy tracking script on your site and a connected payment provider. Groups with fewer than 5 paying customers are flagged as too small to call.
Same server, same numbers. Or see all AI agents and the MCP server reference.
Add the connector, turn it on under Sources, and ask how you compare.
