One question, one call

How many questions does a business review cost?

One. Two tools answer the questions you ask most, each in a single call.

  • “How's the business?” is one get_business_snapshot call: MRR, plans, countries, churn, new subscribers, top customers, refunds, goals, at-risk customers and traffic, with warnings.
  • “What happened yesterday?” is one get_daily_snapshot call: one day against the day before and the 7-day average.
  • A weekday morning brief costs about 22 ChartsyAI questions a month.

Which channels bring paying customers?

Signups only tell you half the story. Your agent can now follow each channel into your billing data, so you see which ones bring customers who pay and stay.

  • Paying customers, MRR today, churn and retention for each source, medium, UTM campaign or individual post
  • Signup-to-paid rate, the early signal for a channel that's only weeks old
  • First touch (where they found you) or last touch (what made them sign up)
  • Decide where next month's marketing time and budget go, from revenue rather than clicks

Needs the Chartsy tracking script on your site and a connected payment provider. Groups under 5 paying customers are flagged as inconclusive, and retention needs about 90 days to mean much.

  • Google: 14 paying customers, $1,260 MRR today, 11% of signups paid.
  • Newsletter: 6 paying, $690 MRR, 16% of signups paid.
  • RiskReddit: 3 paying customers, too few to call yet.

What AI agents can and can't see

Agents read numbers. Everything else stays in Chartsy.

  • Read-only

Your agent can read your numbers. It can't change Chartsy, your payment provider's data, or your customers.

  • IDs, not names

Customers are payment-processor IDs; names and emails stay in Chartsy. Your agent sees only the accounts and sites your login owns, checked on every call.

  • One question per tool call

Each call uses one ChartsyAI question from your monthly allowance, failed calls included. Broad questions usually take one call.

How do I connect Chartsy to my own agent?

FAQ

Chartsy for AI agents: frequently asked questions

More detail in the Chartsy MCP help guide.

Which AI agents work with Chartsy?

Any AI agent or app that supports remote MCP servers. Chartsy has setup guides for Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Perplexity, Manus, Meta Muse, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Antigravity & Gemini CLI, VS Code, Windsurf (Devin Desktop), Kimi Code, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, NanoClaw, Paperclip, Make, n8n and Zapier, and any other MCP client can connect to https://mcp.chartsy.app/mcp. Clients that only run local (stdio) servers can use the mcp-remote bridge.

Do I need to install anything to use Chartsy in an AI agent?

No. The Chartsy MCP server is hosted, so there is nothing to download or run. You add the server URL to your agent and sign in with your Chartsy login. Agents that run without a browser use a personal token from Chartsy → Settings → Claude & MCP instead.

Is the Chartsy MCP server read-only?

Yes. All 19 Chartsy tools read numbers and nothing else. An AI agent connected to Chartsy can't change your Chartsy account, your payment provider's data, or your customers.

How is AI agent usage counted in Chartsy?

Each tool call counts as one ChartsyAI question from your plan's monthly allowance, the same budget as questions you ask inside Chartsy. Failed calls count too. Broad questions stay cheap: "how's the business?" is one get_business_snapshot call and "what happened yesterday?" is one get_daily_snapshot call.

Does it work during the Chartsy free trial?

Yes, on any Chartsy plan including the free trial. You need a real payment provider connected and synced first; the demo data added at signup doesn't count.

Which payment providers can AI agents read through Chartsy?

Whatever you have connected to Chartsy: Stripe, Paddle, Polar, Lemon Squeezy, Creem, Freemius or a custom source through the Chartsy API. The same tools answer for every provider.
