Short answer: For MRR, net revenue after Lemon Squeezy's fees and surcharges, and revenue by marketing channel, Chartsy. For a quick look at this week's sales, Lemon Squeezy's own dashboard. If the rest of your billing already lives in ChartMogul or Baremetrics, an API import into that tool. With only a handful of subscribers, a spreadsheet built from exports.
Prices below were checked on each vendor's pricing page in October 2026.
Disclosure: Chartsy is our product. It gets the same fact card and "not ideal for" line as every other option here.
Lemon Squeezy made selling software simple: a merchant of record that handles checkout, subscriptions, license keys and global tax, with a clean dashboard on top. That dashboard is built to show how a store is selling. It isn't built to explain your MRR - what moved it, which plans are growing, how much you actually keep after fees, or which marketing channels bring paying customers.
This guide compares the best Lemon Squeezy analytics tools in 2026, and what to look for given where Lemon Squeezy is heading after Stripe's acquisition.
What a Good Lemon Squeezy Analytics Tool Should Do
Lemon Squeezy's data has a few quirks that decide whether a tool's numbers can be trusted:
- Count the first payment once. Lemon Squeezy records a subscription's first payment as both an order and a subscription invoice. Add both, and every new customer is counted twice.
- Keep one-time sales out of MRR. Many Lemon Squeezy stores sell templates, licenses or lifetime deals next to subscriptions. Those are revenue, not recurring revenue.
- Work out the fee. Lemon Squeezy's API doesn't report the fee taken from each payment, and the fee isn't flat: on top of the standard 5% + $0.50 there are published surcharges for subscriptions, buyers outside the US and PayPal subscriptions. If a tool ignores them, your "net revenue" is too high.
- Handle multiple stores. One Lemon Squeezy account can run several stores. You want each store on its own and a combined total.
- Show where customers came from. Lemon Squeezy knows who bought, not which channel sent them.
- Survive a migration. With Lemon Squeezy now building toward Stripe Managed Payments, many founders will move billing in the next year or two. Your analytics shouldn't reset when they do.
How we evaluated these tools
We compared each option on the same points:
- Price at a small store's stage, and what it's priced on.
- Lemon Squeezy connection. Native connector, API import, or manual export.
- Metric accuracy. First payments counted once, one-time sales kept out of MRR, and cancellations churned when the paid period ends.
- Net revenue. Whether Lemon Squeezy's fee and surcharges come out of the number.
- Attribution. Whether you can see which marketing channels brought paying customers.
- AI and MCP. Whether you can ask Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor about your revenue.
The Best Lemon Squeezy Analytics Tools
1. Chartsy - Best for MRR, Net Revenue and Attribution on Lemon Squeezy
Chartsy is the revenue and growth dashboard built for SaaS founders. Paste a Lemon Squeezy API key and Chartsy connects every store on your account, each as its own source with its own name, or just the stores you pick. It adds a webhook to each store for you, so new orders, renewals, refunds and subscription changes appear as they happen.
How Chartsy reads Lemon Squeezy:
- MRR comes from subscription invoices that start or renew a subscription, normalized to a month, with every unit counted on quantity-based plans
- The first payment is counted once - Chartsy keeps the invoice and skips the duplicate order
- One-time orders and upgrade prorations count as revenue, never as MRR
- Net revenue is each payment minus tax and Lemon Squeezy's fee, computed from your rate (prefilled with the standard 5% + $0.50) plus the published surcharges: +0.5% on subscription payments, +1.5% for buyers outside the US and +1.5% on PayPal subscription payments. If you negotiated a different rate, enter it, and if it changes later, earlier payments keep the rate they had.
- Cancellations churn when the paid period ends, and other currencies are converted at the rate on the payment's date
On top of that you get the MRR breakdown (new, expansion, contraction, churned and reactivated MRR) and custom dashboards for the numbers you check every week.
For attribution, add the Chartsy script to your website. With no code, set each product's confirmation and receipt button link to a page on your site ending in ?order_id=[order_id]&order_identifier=[order_identifier], and Chartsy credits the order to the visit that brought the buyer. If you create checkouts from your server, pass the visitor id in the checkout's custom data. Details are in the Lemon Squeezy revenue attribution guide.
Key strengths:
- One API key connects every store, each reported separately and combined
- No double-counted first payments, and one-time sales kept out of MRR
- Net revenue that includes Lemon Squeezy's surcharges
- Revenue by marketing channel, from first visit to paid order
- Connect Stripe, Paddle, Polar.sh, Creem.io or Freemius next to it, so a future migration keeps one MRR line
- GDPR mode keeps customer emails, names and locations out of the sync
- Pricing from $9/month, 14-day trial, no card required
Fact card:
- Pricing: Starter from $9/mo, Growth from $29/mo, priced on tracked website visits and signups rather than revenue, as of October 2026 (pricing)
- Free tier or trial: 14-day trial, no card
- Lemon Squeezy connection: Native, with an API key; webhooks added to each store automatically
- AI and MCP: In-app chat and chart builder, plus a read-only MCP server with 19 tools for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other clients
- Not ideal for: Stores on usage-based or tiered pricing that need exact usage revenue, and teams that want license keys or affiliate commissions in their reports. Also not for anyone who needs automated dunning, CRM-style customer profiles or a data-warehouse export.
Good to know: usage-based and tiered prices are counted at the variant's list price, and license keys and affiliate commissions aren't synced. Lemon Squeezy API keys expire after a year, so note the date and replace the key before then.
Where it fits: Lemon Squeezy founders who want MRR and net revenue they can trust, and want to see which channels bring paying customers.
2. Lemon Squeezy's Built-In Dashboard - Best for a Quick Store Overview
Every Lemon Squeezy store has a dashboard with headline revenue, sales and subscription numbers, plus order and subscription lists you can filter and export. It's free and always up to date.
Key strengths:
- Included, nothing to connect
- Good for checking today's sales and finding a specific order or customer
- Exports for ad-hoc analysis
Limitations:
- Store-level numbers, not a breakdown of what moved MRR (new vs expansion vs contraction vs churn)
- No view of which marketing channels brought paying customers
- No combined view with Stripe, Paddle, Polar or any other billing account
- Product development has slowed while the team builds Stripe Managed Payments, as Lemon Squeezy said in its 2026 update
Fact card:
- Pricing: Included with Lemon Squeezy
- Free tier or trial: Included
- Lemon Squeezy connection: Built in
- AI and MCP: None that we could find documented
- Not ideal for: Founders who need to know what moved MRR, how much they keep after fees, or which channels bring paying customers.
Where it fits: Small stores that only need to know how sales are going this week.
3. ChartMogul or Baremetrics via Import - Best If You Already Use Them
ChartMogul and Baremetrics are established subscription analytics tools with native connectors for providers such as Stripe and, for ChartMogul, Chargebee and Recurly (its Paddle connection runs through SaaSync, a third-party connector). At the time of writing we couldn't find a native Lemon Squeezy connector for either. You can push data in through their APIs, or use an automation service such as Integrately to sync customers and subscriptions.
Key strengths:
- Mature cohort, retention and customer reporting
- Useful if the rest of your billing already lives there
Limitations:
- The import is yours to build and maintain, including fee calculation and first-payment deduplication
- Higher cost as MRR grows
- No website-to-revenue attribution
Fact card:
- Pricing: ChartMogul is free up to $10K MRR, then Starter from $69/mo and Pro from $119/mo on monthly billing (pricing). Baremetrics Launch is $75/mo on monthly billing (pricing). Both as of October 2026.
- Free tier or trial: ChartMogul: free plan under $10K MRR, 14-day trial. Baremetrics: free trial.
- Lemon Squeezy connection: No native connector found in either; API import or a third-party automation
- AI and MCP: Both have read-only MCP servers
- Not ideal for: Lemon Squeezy-only stores without engineering time, and anyone who wants revenue by marketing channel.
Where it fits: Teams already invested in one of these tools that are willing to build the Lemon Squeezy import.
4. API Exports Plus a Spreadsheet - Best for Very Early Stores
Lemon Squeezy's API and CSV exports let you build MRR and churn in a spreadsheet.
Key strengths:
- Free
- Full control over definitions
Limitations:
- Easy to double-count first payments or mix one-time sales into MRR
- Fees and surcharges have to be calculated by hand
- Stale the moment you export
Fact card:
- Pricing: Free, apart from your time
- Free tier or trial: Free
- Lemon Squeezy connection: API or CSV export
- AI and MCP: None
- Not ideal for: Anyone past a handful of subscribers, or anyone who needs numbers that stay current.
Where it fits: Stores with a handful of subscribers, until the spreadsheet takes longer than it's worth.

How to Choose

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best analytics tool for Lemon Squeezy?
For MRR, net revenue after fees and revenue by marketing channel: Chartsy. For a quick look at store sales: Lemon Squeezy's own dashboard. For teams already on ChartMogul or Baremetrics: an API import into those tools.
Why does my Lemon Squeezy revenue look higher than my payouts?
Usually because tax and fees aren't being taken out, or the surcharges are missing. Lemon Squeezy's standard 5% + $0.50 has extra published surcharges for subscription payments, buyers outside the US and PayPal subscriptions. Chartsy computes net revenue from your rate plus those surcharges.
Can I see all my Lemon Squeezy stores in one dashboard?
Yes. One API key sees every store on your account. Chartsy connects each one as its own source and adds them up, together with any other billing accounts you connect.
Can I track which channels bring Lemon Squeezy customers?
Yes. Add the Chartsy script to your website, then set each product's button link to a page with ?order_id=[order_id]&order_identifier=[order_identifier], or pass the visitor id in checkout custom data. See the Lemon Squeezy revenue attribution guide.
What happens to my analytics if I move from Lemon Squeezy to Stripe?
If you connect both to Chartsy before you move, your history stays and the new provider's revenue adds to the same MRR line, with a per-source split so you can watch the migration progress.
