Chartsy Zapier Searches: Look Up Customers and MRR
Searches are steps you add in the middle of a Zap that starts anywhere - a new support ticket, a schedule, a form. The Chartsy app has 6, and like the triggers they don't use your ChartsyAI questions.
Add a search to a Zap#
- In your Zap, click + to add a step and choose Chartsy.
- Pick the search as the event, for example Find Customer.
- Fill in its settings, mapping fields from earlier steps where needed, and test the step.
- Use its fields in the steps after it.
A search can't end a Zap
Zapier needs an action after a search - post the result to Slack, add a note to a ticket, send an email. For a Zap that runs on a timer, start it with Schedule by Zapier.

When Find Customer finds nobody#
If no customer has that email, the search returns nothing and Zapier stops the Zap there. To keep going - for example to still add a "not a customer" note - turn on Zapier's option to continue when the search finds no results, and use a Filter or Paths step after it.
