How to Connect Freemius to a Subscription Analytics Dashboard

To connect Freemius to Chartsy, you copy three values from your product's API & Keys page and paste them into Chartsy. Chartsy then imports your plans, customers, subscriptions and payments, adds a webhook so new sales show up within a minute, and turns it all into MRR, churn, LTV and net revenue - for WordPress plugins, themes and SaaS products sold through Freemius.

Each Freemius product is connected as its own data source. Selling more than one product? Connect each one, and All Accounts adds them up - together with any Stripe or Paddle accounts you have connected.

Before You Start

To connect Freemius to Chartsy, you'll need:

  • A product in the Freemius Developer Dashboard
  • Access to that product's Settings → API & Keys page
  • A Chartsy account (sign up free)

Staying in Sync

After the first import, Chartsy keeps your data current two ways:

  • The webhook delivers each new payment, refund or cancellation as it happens
  • An hourly sync reads Freemius's event log since the last run, so a missed webhook delivery is still picked up

Both write the same records keyed on Freemius's own IDs, so an event that arrives twice never counts twice.

Troubleshooting

  • "Freemius rejected this token" - copy the API Bearer Authorization Token again from the same product's API & Keys page. Tokens belong to one product.
  • "No Freemius product with that ID" - the Product ID is the number on the product's Settings page, not its slug.
  • "The Secret Key starts with sk_" - you may have pasted the public key; copy the secret one.
  • "This Freemius product is already connected" - each product can be connected once, even with a new token, so its numbers are never doubled.
